workaday Wednesday
Apr. 13th, 2016 06:51 amIn an unsurprising development for the week, we’ve added another meeting to the agenda! The good news: there will be pizza. The bad news: probably not very good pizza.
Best part of yesterday: the computer system briefly stopped working, so I dutifully submitted my IT ticket with the error message screen shot. Received this gem back:
“I have tested it to be working.”
I reassured the rest of the team that IT said the system was working. It wasn’t, but I’m sure we all felt better after that.
And then, an hour or so later, a follow-up email:
“Service should now be back to normal.”
Which would seem to indicate that service was, at some point, *not* normal. So when they said they tested it and it was working, what they meant was — not working?
