pre-adventure caturday

Some planning thoughts for the day:

*I really thought we’d made it past the hot days/hot nights part of summer where I’d have to figure out if I should leave the AC on while I was off adventuring. Hahaha no — it’s coming back!

*How many pairs of socks is too many pairs of socks?

*Any time I think ‘that’s probably enough snacks,’ I wind up adding more anyway. (To be fair, I think this about socks too.)

*One thing I love about about hiking-based adventures is that literally no one expects you to look nice.

*Brains are wild — I can’t remember the names of the people I hiked with two years ago, but I remember stopping for lunch on the drive and eating a grilled cheese sandwich (yum!).
