bicycling adventure update
Today's the last day of June, which means it's also the last day of the workplace bicycling challenge. I'm very nearly there -- the challenge goal was 100 miles, and I'm currently at 96 miles, so if I can get another four this morning, I can check this adventure off the list with a sigh of relief.
Lessons learned:
*Bicycling: so much harder than I remember from childhood!
*"Driving rules of the road apply to bicycles" when applied to actual road cycling: "Good luck; try not to die."
*Having said that, lots of drivers were super nice! I tried to signal my absolute lack of cycling ability through my non-cycling clothing and my terrified expression, and I think it helped.
