a matter of scale

For some reason, I had it in my head that the thermostat in my apartment had a line for each degree. Which would have meant I had my heat set at a (sort of) luxurious 68F degrees.

Except of course it doesn’t have a line for each degree; it has a line for each two degrees, so my heat is actually set at 66F degrees.

I swear it’s felt colder since I realized that.
