workaday whaaaaat???
Jun. 10th, 2015 06:33 amSince about January, I’ve been handling step 2 of a 2-step order approval and entry process at work. The person handling step 1 (the approval part) has explained many times the onerous nature of the task. So time consuming! So troublesome!
Now, six months later, that person is going on vacation. A meeting was scheduled. I was going to be trained on step 1: order approval. ::cue dramatic music::
I was picturing spreadsheets, math, cross-referencing, all that stuff.
Mmm, no. Turns out, these are the “rules.”
1. Basically, just approve everything.
2. Nothing is ever recorded about any of the order totals or quantities.
So, on the one hand, AWESOME! This is going to be way easier than I expected!
On the other hand, why has this been such a big deal the whole time?
