Tumblr is such a wild way to learn about movies, but it’s often much more fun than seeing the actual movie itself. Take Venom, for example! I have zero plans to ever see the movie, but I am loving the tumblr experience of Venom. Here is my understanding of things based solely on internet reactions:

Actual Movie:
There is an alien symbiote that maybe wants to eat everyone on Earth, then changes its mind. Some kind of big fight at the end. Tom Hardy climbs into a lobster tank?

Critics Reaction:
Objectively, this movie is a mess — a strange amalgamation of action plus superhero plus antihero plus dramedy, in which a dysfunctional loser and an alien killing machine become unlikely roommates.
