holiday weekend!
Yay, we made it to the long weekend! Definitely something magical about extra time off, especially when it's for a holiday as relatively low-stress as 4th of July. (No presents! No cards! Easily skippable altogether!)
Fireworks: not my favorite. Bright flashes of light! Intermittent and unpredictable loud noises! Insects biting me! It's like the trifecta of things I don't find fun. On the other hand, watching fireworks on video set to music is pretty great, AND I can do it from inside.
On the plus side, the cat doesn't seem to mind fireworks nearly as much as she minded thunder, so that's a lucky break. That will definitely make the next few evenings much easier!
