pajamas=the best
One thing I appreciate about winter storms is the pajamas. What summer event gets everyone outside in their pajamas to mumble encouragement at each other in the early morning hours? None that I’ve yet experienced (though hope springs eternal, of course). But snow storms are practically pajama parties!
(Not sure if this is universal? I’m at an apartment complex, and every time it snows, you can see people bundled up in coats and mittens with pajama pants stuffed into their boots, shoveling out their cars. The shared effort seems to encourage conversation, too. There are people I’ve never spoken to except out in the parking lot after a snow storm.)
((Since it is so exceptionally cold today, I will be wearing snow pants *over* my pajama pants, which I feel is also a classic New England look. ))
