I can’t believe I almost forgot this gem, discovered while reading the oven user manual online:

[capslock and bold provided by the manual, not by me]

NEVER USE OVEN CLEANERS IN OR AROUND ANY PART OF THE OVEN.

I honestly don’t really know what to make of that, except that I don’t have any oven cleaner anyway, and I do have dish soap, which is what the manual recommended using, and that seemed like a win all around.
