I got back to the apartment complex Tuesday evening and was SHOOK. Red berry wreath -- gone! (Replaced by a Valentine's Day decoration, what???) Happy holidays sports flag -- gone!

Only the 'Tis the Season' sign remains, and it is NOT EVEN A MONTH after Christmas!

(Meanwhile, in the other building, the apartment with the single strand of Christmas lights that trails off halfway across their balcony is still going strong. They are definitely winning some kind of prize.)

our Christmas tree is still up, as is the silver garland with about twenty [personal profile] silveradept's-alma-mater Christmas ornaments hanging off it. we meant to take these down after Epiphany. or, well, [personal profile] azurelunatic phrased it as Twelfth Night, but by strange coincidence, the twelfth day after Christmas is Epiphany…

Usually the hallway door decorations are up for MONTHS after Christmas; that's what is so surprising about this year!
