I think my screensaver is messing with me.

I currently have the “dictionary” screensaver going on my computer, and I am convinced it is messing with me. Normal words scroll by in the background (converge, isthmus, that sort of thing), but the ones it highlights all seem to be random words I’ve never heard of.

Today:

“ferial”
adjective: denoting an ordinary weekday, as opposed to one set aside for a festival or fast.

“cwm”
noun: a valley (Welsh, denoted by the lack of helpful vowels)

“apothegm”
noun: a concise saying or maxim
