So, all my coworkers think I’m really boring. This is, as far as I can tell, based on two things.

1. I’m really boring.

2. The parts of me that aren’t boring are not in the day-to-day cultural context of my coworkers. For instance, a sample conversation:

Coworker: So, did you do anything fun on your day off?
Me: My sister and I got metaquoted; that was awesome.
Coworker: …

(In reality, I just say, “no, not really,” because I figure right now ‘boring’ trumps ‘weird’ on the social scale of my workplace.)

It’s not that I *want* my coworkers to be curious about my online presence. It’s just that I sort of wish my “no, not really” somehow gave off a ‘I’m very interesting and mysterious with my mysterious secret activities’ as opposed to ‘I’m so dull even I don’t care about what I do; I just sit and stare at the wall all evening.’

(On the other hand, I can hardly say, “well, I spent a while writing a post about you and then publishing it online where anyone in the whole world can read it.” Yeah. Awkward.)

1. The Camp NaNoWriMo site is now open! (For the record, I’m confused by metaphors. Are we camping? Or are we writing?)

2. Planning currently looks like this:

starandrea ~ there will be a castle!
marcicat ~ Nate’s leaving Vegas!

3. On the plus side, that’s already more plot than some of the movies we’ve seen this summer.
