let’s call that day a loss
Mar. 9th, 2012 12:30 pmYesterday I woke up, thought ‘I don’t think I feel too sick for work,’ then spent twenty minutes trying to figure out how to get from my current, pajama-wearing state, into what I was relatively confident would be expected from me at work. I got as far as pants.
‘Maybe I should call in sick after all,’ I thought.
So I did.
Then I thought, ‘hey, unexpected day off; I could get so much done.’ Then I spent another twenty minutes trying to reconcile my vision for the day with what I actually felt capable of doing, factoring in the need to be close to tissues and cough medicine.
‘Maybe I should go back to bed,’ I thought.
So I did.
