workaday Wednesday
Feb. 3rd, 2016 07:31 amIt has been decreed at work that we now require a two-monitor setup (very handy!), so we’ve all been rearranging stuff to get it to fit into our flow. Without thinking, I said I was looking forward to grabbing some of the windows desktop themes that are specifically designed for dual monitors.
Fast forward a bit, and I’m happily ensconced with my dual monitor mountainside theme, and one of my coworkers comes over and says she couldn’t get any of the themes to download correctly.
I am torn! Because mine didn’t work at first either, and then I spent a not entirely insignificant amount of work time googling how to fix it, and *then* I downloaded a fix program onto my work computer, which isn’t *technically* disallowed but is kind of frowned upon? And it’s not like this coworker couldn’t have done the same thing, but for whatever reason she didn’t, and now it’s A Thing.
In short: Download first, talk about it second! (Or never; never is good too.)
