team building report
Feb. 20th, 2016 07:39 amWell, it’s done. Thank goodness. I tend to have a lot of trouble with these ‘pretend stress’ scenarios — this one was a locked room puzzle kind of thing. Because pretend stress isn’t fun for me — I get that it is for some people, just like some people like being scared at the movies, and I can usually fake it okay, but it’s not my jam.
My brain flips decisively between two modes: either we’re supposed to be having fun, in which case, don’t worry about it, we’ll either finish the puzzle or not, let’s just be supportive and have a good time; or we’re supposed to beat the scenario, in which case damn the consequences, just break open the cabinet instead of fussing around with the lock combination. The doors aren’t *that* strong!
And those two modes don’t leave a lot of middle ground for enjoying pretend stress. But no one yelled at anyone and no one cried, which is probably about as successful as we possibly could have been.
