the wrapping paper story
Jun. 5th, 2016 06:59 amI went looking for my wrapping paper this week (Happy Birthday *Andrea!), and ran into a bit of a problem. In that I couldn’t find it. It wasn’t in either of the places I remembered it being in the past, and I looked all around the apartment and couldn’t figure out where it was.
It reached the point of wondering whether I could possibly have gotten rid of all the wrapping stuff in a fit of over-tidying. It seemed unlikely, but where could it be?
Finally I got a vague recollection of moving things into another box after Christmas, and — after far more searching than one would reasonably expect in a small space — I found the wrapping paper. In the Christmas tree box.
Which really leads me to three key points:
1. Yay, I found the wrapping paper! It’s good to celebrate the small victories.
2. Post-Christmas storage decisions are perhaps something I need to work on in the future. I’m sure it made perfect sense at the time.
3. If the wrapping paper was in the Christmas tree box, where is the Christmas tree?
