movie review: Zootopia

I liked it! I mean, okay, I pretty much watched it because of the snuggly cheetah, but I liked it!

Music: catchy

Visuals: enjoyable

World building: deliberately vague

Plot: technically present

Characters: snuggly cheetah! (and some others, also fun)

Fanfic: plentiful

And really, it’s an animated movie that makes enjoyable references to many other movies (including Emmett Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, which gets it a gold star for variety in my book), with an overall message of embracing our differences and using communication to create stronger relationships. If it had turned out to all just be a misunderstanding, that would have been even better, but I suppose we can’t have everything.
