Something I get unreasonably concerned about: dropping my keys through a drainage grate in a parking lot.

I mean, where does a fear like that even come from? I have never actually dropped my keys through a drainage grate. I am not especially prone to dropping things in general, although I did once accidentally throw my box cutter into the recycling dumpster along with the boxes. (I got it back.)

But I always find myself clutching my keys tighter and trying to walk around the grates, just in case.

(There’s no point to this story, I was just thinking about it this week, and needed something to write about.)
