wrapping day

It’s wrapping day!  Time to figure out where I put all the wrapping paper and assorted other gift-y supplies when I was organizing stuff back in the summer.  (I’m sure it’s around here somewhere!)

I have set myself up for success this year by remembering the One True Rule of wrapping — BUY MORE TAPE.  Over the years, I’ve learned that at some point between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I will find myself at a store, and I’ll see a display of tape, and I will, inevitably, think to myself, ‘Ha!  I have plenty of tape; I don’t need to buy that.’

JUST BUY THE TAPE.  I never have as much as I think I do, mostly because all I remember is having the exact same conversation with myself the year before, and it turns out it takes me about a year to go through three of those little dispensers of scotch tape.  And once it gets to be wrapping day, the last thing I want to do is go to a store and buy tape.  

So while I’m not entirely sure where I put my supply of gift bags, or whether I’ll be able to find any ribbon that’s not purple, I am 100% confident that I have tape!
