why are you like this, March?
Mar. 2nd, 2020 05:43 amI always imagine March being a great month. The worst of winter is over (probably)! Spring is coming! Birds are chirping!
(The chirping birds is true -- yesterday I saw robins flocking on the grass, which is at least a sign that the grass wasn't covered by snow.)
But the thing I tend to forget until I'm actually *in* the month of March is that it's my least favorite month. I don't want it to be! I want it to be my favorite -- conceptually, I *love* March!
In practice, it's not my best month. I think I really focus on getting through January and February on an even keel, and then by March I'm tired of managing myself, so I tell myself that the days are longer and the weather's nicer and it'll be fine. (This logic has worked exactly zero times.)
ANYWAY, that's March!
