marcicat: (freakout squirrel)
I recently purchased a small clock-radio, because nothing says 'I'm working from home and can't spare the bandwidth to stream music' like a clock-radio. (Also, it has a port to charge my phone! How convenient!)

It is, as far as I can tell, a pretty basic, no-frills device, that works about as well as you would expect a clock-radio that cost less than $25 to work. But the absolute BEST/weirdest thing about it is the "Warranty Card."

Picture this: inside the box with this basic-black consumer electronic device was a small piece of paper. Decorated with flowers. In a font that looks like it should say 'You're Invited,' it actually says, "Warranty Card." And underneath that:

If there is one thing that one can always yearn for and sometimes attain, it is human love.

Ooooookay.

(I should note, the *inside* of the card is completely average. A stock photo that includes a vaguely-similar product, along with the actual warranty information, and the ever-present request for a review. No flowers, no invitation font, no quotes.)
