surely not

I just got an "end of summer clearance" email advertisement, and my first thought was, 'Really? Surely not yet!'

But then I thought maybe they are just following the four classic mini-seasons of summer:

*early summer
*summer
*high summer
*late summer

In which case I think they are probably right after all, as high summer is surely around the corner.
