marcicat: drama llama (drama llama)
Via zoom, the platform that was clearly never intended to host large meetings where more than one person might try to talk at the same time. (Or possibly my workplace has simply failed to get people to use the chat feature... Could go either way, really. Both? Probably both.)

The best part of these meetings is watching the CEO answer questions. The previous CEO loved talking, and loved talking in front of groups *even more,* so any question was an invitation to a 20-minute ramble that would rarely provide an answer, but you were so desperate to escape by the time it was done you were willing to say that it had.

The new CEO does not love talking? I don't think? They're hard to get a read on. The impression I get is sort of 'affronted confusion' -- 'why are these peasants speaking to me?' crossed with 'why did I agree to this?' (Full disclosure: I have been told that I am wrong about this impression, but I remain unconvinced.) But sometimes they seem to forget that we can see them, and their face takes a journey, and that's always a wild ride.
