May. 20th, 2021 06:10 amMoving achievement from yesterday: finally got the last of the outlet plug covers pried off! (I hope it was the last of them.)
(I do not have a child that needed protection from outlets, but the apartment did, at one point, have cockroaches. They would come out of the outlets; it was Not Ideal. Given the small amount I know about cockroaches, plastic plug covers would not necessarily stop them, but it made me feel better. After a lengthy battle with what I identified as the alpha cockroach, I have not seen any since, but it wasn't like I was using those outlets anyway. And -- as it turned out -- it was really hard to get the covers back off again, so I used the tried and true 'ignore the problem' technique. Which worked great for years! In terms of the ratio of 'time spent not worrying about this issue' to 'time spent dealing with it,' I'm willing to call it a victory.)
