magic erasers: an update
May. 22nd, 2021 05:56 am*Prologue tip for using magic erasers: the box says 'wear gloves,' and the first day I was like 'for this soft lil' eraser?' Joke's on me; gloves are a huge help.
*Actual number one tip for using magic erasers: magic eraser in one hand; paper towel in the other. The erasers have a tendency to move more grime around than they pick up. Magic eraser action followed by paper towel action gets more grime picked up, plus it blends into the wall better. Bonus: both arms get a workout!
*Epilogue: Yesterday I spent some time wondering why I never did this kind of cleaning for me, like before I was planning to move out. It looks good! Mostly what I came up with was the classic argument against making the bed every day: I was just going to get it dirty again anyway, so why bother. And a little bit of 'I'll clean it when it really needs it,' except that after a while it just sort of faded into the background. I guess it's also a question of the joy produced vs work input ratio?
