it's grocery day!
Jun. 3rd, 2021 05:49 amAs with most things even remotely related to moving, it seems fraught with a level of difficulty that seems unnecessary, and yet undeniably exists.
Usually I go to the grocery store once a week. It's not that I couldn't go more often, but the consistency of having a regular weekly trip means I don't have to spend as much mental energy figuring out when to go. (More than a week, and I start to run out of critical items, like cheese.)
But now it's like -- should I try to get enough to skip next week's trip? It seems wrong to buy food right before (and then have to move it all), but it also seems wrong to assume I'll want to go grocery shopping right *after* we move. We'll be busy then!
