I remember this part of moving, actually. None of your stuff is where you want it, and everything feels awful. (Although there was a lot less to move when I came to the apartment -- hard to say if drawing it out over an extended period of time is better or worse.)
I'm confident that it will be great; this is a good move! But at this exact moment it feels like I've just gone through months of packing and then several weeks of intensive cleaning of one place, and now it's just going to start all over again at the new place.
In a bit of happy news, the cat is (so far) being immensely patient. The current plan is to move her tomorrow, once there's enough stuff over there to set up a space for her. Fingers crossed!
