Here's a thought -- any time you're thinking of moving, or just in general, really -- maybe check behind your washer and dryer. Maybe consider whether anything might have fallen down between them and the wall.

As someone who tried very hard not to pay attention to the single sock and two pairs of underwear that I fished out from those spaces this weekend, along with a LOT of dust and debris, I can say from the depths of my soul that whoever moves into your place after you will thank you for your efforts.
