Me, during the May heat waves: "It seems early for this kind of heat! I don't want to rush the seasons, but wow, it's so hot!"
Me, during the June heat waves: "I don't want to rush the seasons, but wow! Is it usually this hot in June?"
[to be fair, July was mostly rainy and did not have a ton of super-hot days]
Me, during the August heat waves: "I WANT TO RUSH THE SEASONS. BRING ON FALL. I HAVE MY WINTER COAT RIGHT HERE."
[The multi-day-and-night heat advisory ended last night, and hopefully today is our last extremely hot day for a while. It might drop below 70F degrees tonight! One can hope.]
