Appropriate activity for a heat advisory day in late August: lying on the floor in front of a fan. Maximize surface area. Damp washcloth over eyes. Doze off if possible.

Sadly, that activity is not in my list of top five responsibilities for the day, which include things like 'work day' and 'consume food that does not involve the application of heat.'

At least it's supposed to be getting better after today?
