still thinking about nanowrimo
Oct. 3rd, 2021 06:54 amOctober is usually a lot of me thinking 'am I going to do nanowrimo this year? if so, what will I write? what do I want to write? *do* I want to write?'
And there's often an element of 'what AO3 tags would be most likely to get me to click on a story to read it?' because I figure those are likely to also be things that might inspire me to keep writing something. Yesterday I had a moment when I clicked on a 'time travel fix-it fic' link and thought 'ooooooohhhhhhh, what if I did that?'
But then I thought 'wait, haven't I done that before?'
Today I went checking back in ye olde archives, and yes? Sort of? Once officially (though not for nano), and a few other times that arguably involved time travel and fixing things but were not exactly time travel fix-it fics. So either I've *never* done a time travel fix-it for nano, or I've done it enough times that it's basically my theme song, and should therefore be embraced.
Look, I'm a simple person. I just want a story full of good things, and one way to have a story full of my favorite characters winning without also making it be full of other people losing is to have them be winning against a previous timeline that only they remember.
