May. 1st, 2022 07:37 amIt's adventure day! I'm headed out to check out a new-to-me town forest trail. (You know, once my phone charges up and I manage to change out of my pajamas.)
The reviews were generally in agreement that the trails are nice but don't match up to the map, which is super common here in popular trail areas, especially in places that are good for mountain biking, which apparently this is. Since I am prone to getting lost even when the trails *do* match the map, I'll turn on the phone mapping so I can at least figure out if I'm going in circles.
(The whole place is surrounded by neighborhoods, so "getting lost" is more of a 'this is embarrassing and I wasn't expecting to go so many miles to get back to my car' than a 'this is a safety issue and now I'm stranded in the wilderness' thing. So it's fine! I got this! I will make sure to bring extra chocolate just in case!)
