an exercise in patience
May. 24th, 2022 05:58 am*On Monday the 16th, the Technical Expert looked at the AC unit we have in the wall, said they could replace it, and then said I'd get a call from the office with a quote and to schedule the appointment. I'd hear from them by the end of the day, they said.
*After hearing nothing by the end of the day, I called them on Tuesday the 17th. Ah yes, the office told me. We're working on the schedule. We'll give you a call back before the end of the day.
*After hearing nothing for *several* days, I called again on Friday the 20th. Ah yes, the office told me. Did we speak on Tuesday? We're working on the schedule. We'll give you a call back before the end of the day.
*It is now the *next* Tuesday, and I still have not heard back. I am hoping to scrape up the wherewithal to call again today.
*I understand that they are busy! I feel like a jerk calling them! But they keep saying they'll call by the end of the day and then not doing it! Just give me a realistic estimate of when I'll hear something, and then I'll wait until that time has passed before calling back!
