very important work update
May. 9th, 2023 06:24 amI HAVE NEWS! We (finally) had the company meeting yesterday, and it was not any of the things I predicted. (This is not uncommon with my predictions, to be fair.)
Now, who knows what's really happening behind the scenes -- I'm sure knowing would not make me any happier or better as a person, and I'd really prefer not to. But these were the reasons they offered:
*for the first meeting postponement: "scheduling conflict"
*for the second meeting postponement: "the presenter was traveling"
*for the unusual day and time: "thank you for your flexibility"
*for the short duration: "the executive team is really busy and didn't have time to make slides"
I mean, damn, what quarterly obligation can *I* get out of by saying I'm "really busy"???
