talk about hard to buy for
Feb. 13th, 2013 10:19 pmHolidays are — tricky, at my workplace. Not recognizing/celebrating stuff like Valentines Day seems cold and aloof (been accused of those two a few times!), but what’s the best option?
Naturally, food comes to mind. We all eat, after all. But we’ve got people who don’t eat gluten, or don’t eat dairy, or don’t eat sugar, or don’t eat [insert delicious celebratory food items here]. Gah. So this year I bought a selection of organic fruit (apples, pears, avocados, oranges, tomatoes), scrunched tissue paper around them, and put them in a basket.
We’ll see? I’ll report in tomorrow on how it’s received by my coworkers.
[Note: I brought a basket home from the store to use for this project, and I didn't remember until I was done that the basket used to have packages of dog biscuits in it. That's okay, right?]
