Boss: I have gathered you here today to tell you that this one thing is changing but nothing else is changing. Nothing. Nothing else is changing. Any questions?

Employees:
-What else is changing?
-Is x thing changing?
-What other changes should we expect?
-When you say ‘nothing’ is changing, what exactly does that mean will be changing?
-Is this thing over here going to be changing? What about that thing over there?

[Now, to be fair, it’s pretty much a given that if the statement ‘nothing is changing’ was actually true, we really wouldn’t have needed to have a company-wide meeting to talk about it.]
