marcicatIt’s been hot, which is not super unusual, although I feel like it usually happens in August and not July? This is the first summer I’ve lived somewhere with air conditioning, and I find myself not using it nearly as much as I thought I might.
It turns out that part of the summer experience for me is having it be noticeably warmer in my living space, even when I’m trying to sleep. I tried turning on the AC one night and my brain spent what felt like the whole night trying to figure out if it was hot or cold, finally settling on ‘both.’
Two nights ago it was 76F in the apartment, and I slept fine. Last night it was 78F, and (despite waking up at 4:30 am convinced that my alarm was going off and I was hearing music) I slept pretty well in that too. I was not expecting this.
