movie review: Inside Out
Dec. 27th, 2015 11:21 amI laughed, I cried, I thought it was a much more nuanced (and generally much nicer) look at growing up than the disaster that was Toy Story 3.
It didn’t have much of what I like most in a movie, which is characters who actually communicate and connect with each other. The two mind workers who got such a kick out of the gum commercial were probably the best example. (And I thought they were awesome!)
Also liked:
*Anger’s reaction to the gum commercial. (Every time!)
*”All right, we did not die today! I’d call that an unqualified success!”
*The end credits bit with the cat.
In short: I didn’t love it, but I wanted to watch it and I’m glad I did.
