Sunday six good things
Apr. 26th, 2020 07:19 am1. It turns out I sort of like wearing a mask in public? I mean, they make it less likely that people will try to speak to me, AND they make it feel like people are looking at my mask and not at me. Two things I strongly approve of.
2. It's SANDWICH WEEK! Not, like, officially or anything. But after trying Extra Diligently to prepare 'real food' (generally various combinations of pasta with vegetables) ever since we started work-from-home, I have declared this week to be For Sandwiches. Bread, meat, cheese, some pesto spread, maybe some crumbly honey-roasted pecans for crunch and flavor... mmm, sandwiches!
3. It's been a really great spring for daffodils.

4. Won a free t-shirt from work last week. And on the one hand, yes, it's a sobering example of how completely my workplace is failing to recognize what would actually create value for their employees. But on the other hand, the choice wasn't 'free t-shirt or help paying for a better internet connection,' it was 'free t-shirt or nothing.' And in that case, the t-shirt is clearly the winning option!
5. As someone who tends towards a state of stressed-out anxiety all the time, it's actually been sort of a relief to see all of these articles nowadays that are basically, 'HEY IT'S OKAY TO BE ANXIOUS AND STRESSED.'
6. Working on a mask for
