The new Avengers trailer has been released, and I have a few questions.

1. What’s the motivation for blowing shit up? Come on, Loki, let’s see some creativity.

2. When will movie producers figure out that they could save a ton of money on special effects, because all we really want to see is the Avengers hanging out together?

3. How does Robert Downey Jr. keep a straight face saying that “if we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we’ll avenge it” line? Buddy, that doesn’t even make any sense.

Who's the redhead woman? I feel like I should know, but...I've only seen about half the pre-Avenger movies, so I must have missed her.

It's Natasha (wikipedia says her last name is Romanoff), aka Black Widow. She was mostly just in Iron Man 2, I think, but fandom puts her in a lot of Thor fic too -- apparently in comics!land she and Clint had a thing at one point.
