marcicatMy instagram likes to pop up those fast-forward watercolor drawing posts -- I'm sure it's based on some algorithm, or possibly it's a message from the universe telling me to -- calm down? paint faster? IDK.
The point is, I was watching one yesterday because the artist was drawing cute cats in all different colors, and I do like cats, so why not? And they did all the shapes, and then the eyes, and the whiskers, and all the lil' in-between birds and mice and details and everything, and it was great! And then they started tapping a pencil on the paper, and I was like, 'oh??? what new technique is this, I haven't seen this one before.'
And then a REAL CAT (enticed by the sound of the tapping) entered the frame, and I was both charmed and delighted. An excellent art technique indeed! Best surprise ending.
