I’m pretty sure I haven’t linked these before, but I just re-read them this week for the third time, and I still laughed at all the jokes. Fun Friday Fics!

This is why I love Avengers movie!verse fics — because they take place now, with youtube and twitter and cell phones and they’re such an integral part of how we interact with the world, and that should be true of our superheroes as well.

1. Breaking News, by nightwalker

“You follow Tony on Twitter?” Hank asked.

“Yeah. Why?”

“Because you live with him.” Hank said.

“Well, I didn’t at the time,” Peter said, a little defensively as he hunched over his phone. “Anyway, I follow Cap, too.”

“I have a Twitter?” Steve asked. “I didn’t know I had a Twitter.”

2. The Engagement, by nightwalker

“Tony!” Thor grabbed Tony around the shoulders in a one-armed hug. “I have attended few human wedding ceremonies over the years, and aside from a tendency to suffer super-villain attack and a great deal of panicking, I am unfamiliar with your customs.”

3. Teasing the Paparazzi, by nightwalker

“Didn’t Bucky try to kill you once?” Peter asked. “Or, actually, like nine or ten times?”

“They were all part of the same mission,” Tony said, “so I think it only counts as once. But I already told Steve he can’t come to the wedding if he does it again.”

NOTE: As a bonus, #3 also includes an “Excerpt from the dedication page of SuperGay: The Untold Stories of the World’s Most Powerful Couple by Peter Parker”. Which, just — that title! I love it.
