I thought it might be fun to make an advent list — 24 things I want to do before Christmas. (So far there are only 15 things on the list; it’s a work in progress.)

Since it’s the first, I thought I’d knock off an easy one: drive through downtown to look at the Christmas lights on my way home from work. It was less peaceful than expected, what with the ambulance blaring by, followed a couple minutes later by a fire truck. It was more ‘lights, lights, SIRENS LOOK OUT GET OUT OF THE DRIVING LANE!’

So, best wishes for whoever it was who needed help tonight, and may December bring more good surprises than bad.
