As an hourly employee, I log into the company's time clock website at least twice a day. I have no idea what my password is, because in a fit of illogic one day I let the computer save it, and now I tremble with fear for the day the system resets (I assume this happens via magic?) and I'm forced to admit I don't actually know it.

But the point of today's story is that the password is NOT ENOUGH to actually access the time clock. No, it also requires a secondary code EVERY SINGLE TIME. And the options to get the code are to send it to an email address (lol I will not be tricked into opening my work email before I am getting paid to do so!) or sending it as a text. Which is fine except when I forget my phone somewhere else, like in my coat pocket, and it's not like I don't WANT to go rescue my phone, I just also don't want to lose those precious moments of paid time searching it out!

Enter: the fitbit. I've always resisted letting my flitbit sync up so it could receive text notifications, because why would I want to be more available? BUT! I may have been convinced. I tried it for the first time this week, and it is SHOCKINGLY CONVENIENT to receive the Super Secret Login Code To Get Paid on a device I have a very strong chance of having literally at hand.

Just a suggestion, but if you look at the saved passwords in your browser settings, you should be able to see what the actual password is. I've definitely done that before, especially with my work passwords.
