Carol Singalong: Check.
Dec. 14th, 2011 12:03 amThank goodness for “Winter Wonderland,” possibly the easiest Christmas song to sing in the history of ever.
Thanks in particular to the John Anderson version, which repeats the first verse instead of doing the actual second verse. This morning I cranked up the music in my car and said, “Let’s do this!” On the third try, victory was mine.
Boo-yah! I mean, Merry Christmas!
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is the new bird
He sings a love song as we go along
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say, “Are you married?”, we’ll say, “No man
But you can do the job when you’re in town”
Later on, we’ll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid the plans that we’ve made
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say, “Are you married?”, we’ll say, “No man
But you can do the job when you’re in town”
Later on, we’ll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid the plans that we’ve made
Walking in a winter wonderland
