marcicatThere is SOME WEATHER happening today. What weather? No one knows. It's one of those storms that could do just about anything. Maybe some snow? Maybe some ice? Gusty wind? ASK AGAIN LATER. Like, after the storm is over. By that point we'll definitely have a better understanding of what is happening.
So far the power has flickered a bunch, and I watched a relatively large branch break off the pine tree directly behind our house (luckily hitting the ground and not our balcony).
[I am 10,000% relieved to have already taken this as a vacation day, because I don't think I could handle the standard work email on snowy days ('employee safety is our top priority; also we expect employees to make Every Effort to arrive to work on time for their full shift' -- this is a classic example of their corporate logic: 'we stated that we wanted you to be safe/satisfied/employed; therefore if you aren't, that's on you').]
But our fireplace is on, and we're hunkered down with snacks and leftover birthday cake, so let's do this day!
