marcicatToday we saw a river otter! Very fun; it was far enough away that I needed binoculars to determine that it was an otter and not A) a stick, B) a rock, or C) a beaver. But binoculars revealed it was not any of those things! Yay for otters!
The river is still somewhat frozen, which is probably why we saw it at all. The otter kept popping out of the water to sit on the ice and then dive back in. (Brr! I guess otters have good insulation!)
