Also me: 'mmm-hmm, but what comes after bedtime? the rest of the week. ugh'
Me: 'staying up late won't make the rest of the week easier. it'll only be harder if you're tired'
Also me: 'but the rest of the week comes *after* sleep. no sleep = no rest of week'
Me: 'that is not how time works'
Also me: 'are you sure?'
(Or, in a personalized version of that quote from 'The Good Place': 'Any time I have a problem I just stay up really, really, ridiculously late reading fanfic, and boom! Instantly, I have a different problem!')
