One of those 'you know you live in New Hampshire' things:

We had a freeze warning last night! I don't think it actually got down quite to freezing, but it was darn close. Based on the guess that no one's going to show up to work on staining the deck until it's over 50F degrees again, I snuck one of the bird feeders back out there for a few hours. (The cat is bored! She needs her morning bird show!)

Not just NH! Here in New Jersey it got down to 37 last night, validating me in my missing my usual big Mother's Day Annuals Buying (because of back/leg pain), so I didn't have any basil & impatiens to protect. I hope people's early plantings of tomatoes are OK -- one year there was a hard frost May 20th that killed everyone's first batch of tomatoes.
