marcicatMe, receiving an AO3 chapter update notification today: 'ooh, a new chapter! chapter 4 of 4! the conclusion! EXCITEMENT INTENSIFIES!'
Also me: 'I have no memory of this fic. None. The author's name looks familiar? Maybe from a different fic?'
Me again: 'I mean, I obviously was curious enough about it at some point to subscribe... I could go back, do a re-read from the beginning? Or just skim through chapter 3 to see what's happening?'
Galaxy brain me: 'or I could just jump in at chapter 4, which would be the most exciting option!'
